WWE Money in the Bank 2021 Quick Results

The following is the results for the Money in the Bank PPV. Full analysis will be given on the Ringside Rundown Podcast this Saturday.

  • The Usos defeated The Mysterios to win their seventh Tag Team Championships. Jey rolled Rey up for the pin and Jimmy comes from behind and gives his brother extra leverage to win.
  • The Women’s Money in the Bank match was a wild car crash that saw Nikki A.S.H. out climb the rest of the competition to grab the briefcase and win the match.
  • AJ Styles and Omos retained the Raw tag Team Titles thanks to the impressive power of Omos dropping Erik of the Viking Raiders.
  • Bobby Lashley retained the WWE Championship in an absolute dominating performance. I don’t think Kofi got more than one minute of offense.
  • Charlotte Flair defeated Rhea Ripley to win the Raw Women’s Championship. Charlotte targeted the knee of Ripley by trapping in in the ring steps and striking it with kicks to the stairs. Charlotte brings Rhea back in the ring then locks in the Figure 8 for the submission.
  • Big E wins the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, climbing the ladder and retrieving the briefcase after hitting Rollins with the Big Ending. If the Women’s Match was a car crash this one was a ten car pile up.
  • Thanks to an interferring Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns is able to retain the Universal Championship after hitting Edge with a Spear. After the match Edge and Rollins brawl throughout the arena. As Roman is waiting for the Ft. Worth crowd to acknowledge him, music hits and out comes John Cena to an insane ovation. Cena poses in the ring with Roman looking dumbfounded to close the show.

WWE RAW Results (7/12/2021): Last Stop Before Money in the Bank

The show kicks off immediately with Xavier Woods taking on WWE Champion Bobby Lashley in a non-title contest. The match was mostly Lashley showing off his strength. Like a predator playing with his food Lashley keeps the match going to make a point to Kofi Kingston. Lashley hits Woods with a Spear and still doesn’t ,go for the pin. The showboating would come back to bite Lashley as Woods locks him up in an inside cradle and gets the win. That’s right, the WWE Champion was just pinned six days before his PPV match. When we come back from break we learn that Bobby Lashley has left the building. MVP promises that Lashley will be in attendance tonight for an edition of the VIP Lounge.

Eva Marie and Doudrop were invited to Alexa’s Bliss’ Playground but things turn sour when more attention is shown to Doudrop than Eva.

Jinder Mahal tried pulling a fast one by giving Drew McIntyre his word back in pieces but Drew was able to get the original sword back and replace Jinder’s with a replica somehow. What isn’t a replica is Jinder Mahal’s custom motorcycle he likes to ride in on. Drew McIntyre goes crazy and starts destroying Jinder’s ride, ripping it apart piece by piece.

During the Fatal 4 Way match, Eva Marie and Doudrop catch the attention of Alexa Bliss at ringside. Doudrop tries to make nice with Alexa but Alexa is more concerned with scaring the hell out of Eva Marie. Doudrop comes to Eva’s defense and dumps Alexa over the barricade. The only problem is Alexa isn’t there when Eva goes to see the damage. The rest of the women carried the match and made it rather enjoyable. Asuka and Nikki ASH would have a back and forth ending with Nikki getting the roll-up and the win.

AJ Styles and Ivar of the Viking Raiders had a great match ending with a surprise upset and Ivar getting the win after a corner senton. Erik of the Viking Raiders didn’t fair as well against the beast Omos who picks up his first ever singles win.

Before their match Sheamus jumped Humberto Carrillo backstage giving Sheamus the edge. As for the match, it could be fit inside of a replay as Sheamus just hit Carrillo with a Brogue Kick for the win. After the match, Sheamus says he is going to break the face of Carrillo but thankfully Damian Priest makes the save to prevent that from happening.

Ricochet defeated John Morrison in a Falls Count Anywhere Match after flying through the air and crashing into Morrison through a ladder.

Rhea Ripley defeated Natalya after hitting her with the Riptide. Afterward, Charlotte Flair ambushed her Money in the Bank opponent with a chop block then locked on the Figure Four.

To close out tonight’s Raw we have a VIP Lounge segment with MVP and Bobby Lashley. The problem is Bobby Lashley is in no mood to party. Lashley kicks the women out of the VIP Lounge and absolutely loses it tossing all of the furniture out of the ring. Bobby thinks Kofi might be right and Bobby may be going soft. An intense Lashley vows to kill Kofi’s career and we go off the air.

So that’s it for Raw tonight, what did you think of the show? Are you excited for Money in the Bank? Drop a comment below!

WWE SmackDown Results (7/9/2021): The End of the Thunderdome

We kick off SmackDown with Jimmy Uso looking to speak with his cousin Roman Reigns. Before he can speak to Roman he is stopped by Paul Heyman who says Jimmy will get the attention of his cousin by the end of the night. Weird, if you ask me.

Roman comes down to the ring to reassure us that he isn’t afraid of Edge. The only reason Edge got the better of him a few weeks ago was a lack of focus. Roman has to deal with his family which allowed Edge is to get the better of him. Roman tells Jimmy he wasn’t around because he was doing what Jimmy couldn’t do, bring back Jey Uso. Roman declares that if Jey and Jimmy listen to him the Bloodline is untouchable. They agree and all three men embrace. Roman can play one hell of a manipulator.

As if losing all of your money, possessions, and right to be called King wasn’t bad enough, Baron Corbin has to watch Boogs and Nakamura ride in on the car he once owned. His problems get worse as he loses a Money in the Bank qualifier match to King Nakamura.

We get ourselves a debut tonight taking on the Women’s Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina. Coming up from NXT is Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox now known as Shotzi and Nox. They work together great as a team and even pick up a shocking upset win with Shotzi hitting her Ball pit senton to pick the win.

WWE Official Sonya Deville comes down to the ring to announce who will face Bianca Belair at Money in the Bank with Bayley out with injury. Bayley suffered a torn ACL while training at the Performance Center and will be out for at least nine months. I hope Bayley does make a quick recovery. Deville makes the announcement that Belair will not be defending her title at Money in the Bank but rather next week in Houston for the first SmackDown in front of fans. She will be defending the title against the self proclaimed “Most Beautiful Woman in the WWE”, Carmella. Liv Morgan has a beef to pick with Sonya Deville because winning match after match still has her overlooked. A frustrated Sonya makes the announcement that replacing Carmella in the Money in the Bank will be Liv Morgan. Good for her.

Seth Rollins qualifies for the Money in the Bank defeating a bloody Cesaro with a Curbstomp. The field is now set for the Men Money in the Bank match. From Raw: Drew McIntyre, Ricochet, Riddle, and John Morrison. From SmackDown: Kevin Owens, Big E, King Nakamura, and Seth Rollins.

To close out tonight’s SmackDown Edge calls out Roman Reigns. Roman had instructed his cousins to stay in the back but they did not listen. As they get to the ring while Edge and Roman brawl the music of the Mysterio’s hit but they come from behind to neutralize the Usos. Roman was able to escape unlike his cousins who both get caught in Edge’s crossface. As the show fades to black Edge is alternating cross faces between the Uso twins.

AEW Dynamite Results (7/7/2021): Road Rager!

For the first time in well over a year, AEW is back on the road. Tonight from Miami AEW Dynamite presents: Road Rager! Tonight is action packed as we will see a South Beach Strap Match, the in ring debut of Andrade El Idolo, Tag Team Titles match, and so much more!

Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite: Road Rager kicks off with the South Beach Strap Match between Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall. I actually found this match to be entertaining. A little blood on QT Marshall and three Cross Rhodes later, Cody touches all four turnbuckle pads to win the match.

While doing a backstage interview gloating about costing Sammy Guevara a match, Shawn Spears gets got by Sammy.

Don Callis and Kenny Omega come down to the ring for an interview and claim there is no one left for the Champion to face. This crowd is hot for some Hangman Page but neither Callis nor Omega want to acknowledge it. The Dark Order interrupt the segment and confront Omega about dodging Page. Kenny doesn’t take too kindly to the interruption and kicks Evil Uno below the belt just as Gallows and Anderson come out and jump the rest of Dark Order. Hangman Page comes out and makes the save sending Kenny running.

Apparently, the beef between Ethan Page and Darby Allin stems from the fact that it only took Darby one year to get to a place in his career where it took Ethan twelve. Both men will face each other next week in a Coffin Match.

With Tully Blanchard distracting the referee, FTR hit the Big Rig on Hager to pick up the win in a Trios Match against the Inner Circle. Konnan thought it was a good idea to hit Wardlow with the madball but ending up getting a chop block from Blanchard.

We have a contract segment between MJF and Chris Jericho. MJF makes the stipulation that Jericho must defeat four competitors of his choosing all with stipulations of his choosing if he wants to face MJF in a match. Both men settle matters with a handshake that ends with Jericho hitting MJF with the Judas Effect.

Andrade El Idolo knocked the number five ranked competitor Matt Sydal to win his debut match in AEW.

Speaking of debuts, we saw the debut of Tommy End, now known as Malakai Black, made his presence known by hitting both Arn Anderson and Cody Rhodes with his former Black Mass kick.

Kris Statlander and Orange Cassidy were able to defeat The Bunny and the Blade with some big brain plays. The Blade used a set of brass knuckles to knock out Orange Cassidy but Statlander snuck a tag in making her the legal combatant. By rules of a mixed tag is the women must face the women and men face the men. The Bunny gets in there, Blade gets knocked, and the Bunny gets hit with the Big Bang Theory for the win.

Turns out Dan Lambert of American Top Team isn’t a fan of AEW.

The main event saw the Young Bucks defeat Eddie Kingston and Penta EL Zero Meido in a Street Fight. This one was pretty enjoyable. It seems the Young Bucks are starting to find their groove and getting back to putting on entertaining tag matches. They stuff a ton of thumbtacks in the mouth of Eddie Kingston and hit him with a Superkick. What a way to get the win and keep the titles.

Tonight was a really fun episode of Dynamite. If you know me you know the highlight of the show was the debut of Malakai Black. I’m interested in seeing what he can do for AEW with no creative restraints. What did you fine people think of tonight’s AEW? Drop a comment below!

WWE RAW Results (7/5/2021): New Day vs. MVP & Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre in Action

We start off Raw with a MizTV segment featuring four competitors in the Money in the Bank from Raw. AJ Styles, who isn’t even in the Ladder Match, comes out upset that he lost the Last Chance qualifier without being pinned. Omos knocks an already injured Riddle off the ladder and AJ follows up by kicking him in the ankle. The good guys get their shots in ending with Drew McIntyre sending Omos over the top rope.

John Morrison def. Ricochet via countout. Ricochet and Morrison pulled off another insane acrobatic feat and if it weren’t for Miz getting in the way with his wheelchair Ricochet would have made it back in the ring.

Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal are facing each other because Drew blew Jinder off for a bike ride while Alexa Bliss is in the back playing tricks on Reginald again.

Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Doudrop, and Eva Marie def. Nikki Cross, Naomi, Asuka, and Alexa Bliss via pin fall after Nia hit Nikki with a Samoan Drop. According to Eva Marie, she was the winner. Just her.

Mustafa Ali def. Mansoor via a roll up pin fall. The closing moments of the match saw Ali get his leg trapped in the ropes. The only way Ali was able to get freed is by Mansoor aiding the official. When Mansoor reentered the ring he was rolled up for the three count.

Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre ended in Disqualification after the interference from Jinder’s henchmen Veer and Shanky. Jinder believes Drew took away an opportunity at Money in the Bank so he is going to take the sword, a family heirloom, away from Drew.

Lucha House Party def. Mace and T-Bar

Riddle def. AJ Styles via roll up pin. The entire match AJ worked Riddle’s injured ankle to the point where he should not have lost the match. On the outside of the ring Omos was being stalked by the Viking Raiders. While AJ was warning Omos of an incoming attack he doesn’t see Riddle get behind him for the roll up. Pretty good match.

Charlotte Flair is in the ring to give us a medical update on her knee. Last week after the six person tag Rhea Ripley hit Flair with a chop block to the back of the knee. With that said, there is a possibility Charlotte could miss Money in the Bank. Or so we thought. Rhea Ripley comes down to the ring also with an apparent knee injury. It turns out this was all a plot to expose the fact that Charlotte isn’t really hurt. Both women battle and joust with crutches with Charlotte retreating up the ramp.

Jaxson Ryker picked up the win for his team by himself R-Truth was too concerned with getting the 24/7 Championship. Ryker hits a sidewalk slam to get the win.

Next week we will see Ricochet take on John Morrison in a Falls Count Anywhere match and the Viking Raiders will each compete in singles matches against AJ Styles and Omos. In two weeks, in front of fans, the Viking Raiders will get their shot at the Tag Team Championships.

New Day def. MVP & Bobby Lashley via pin fall after Kofi hit Trouble in Paradise on MVP to close out the show.

The one positive I can take away from tonight’s Raw was that it was easy to get through. What did you guys think of Raw tonight?

WWE SmackDown Results (7/2/2021): Last Man Standing, Edge Gets Called Out

Edge kicks off tonight’s show on the mic speaking about his experience at WrestleMania facing Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan. 2006 Edge would have definitely complained but current day Edge understands that there will always be obstacles. Current day Edge also knows he can beat Roman even if Roman doesn’t want to admit it. Edge has the screenshots to back up his claim. Jimmy Uso reiterates to Paul Heyman backstage that he has his cousin’s back.

KING Shinsuke Nakamura & Big E vs. Apollo Crews & Baron Corbin: Since losing his crown to Nakamura Corbin has not been the same. He looks unkept, stressed, and not interested in a match of any sort. Before we head to commercial Big E clocks Corbin and that seemed to wake him up. While Corbin was working in the ring Rick Boogs makes the announcement that Corbin’s Benz Jeep is getting towed. The announcement distracts Corbin and he gets hit with the Big Ending from Big E as Big E and King Nakamura take this one.

Bayley and Bianca Belair have a face to face in the ring. Bianca admits that Bayley does live in her head and the only way for that to stop is for Bianca to embarrass Bayley. Bianca lays down a challenge for an I Quit match. Bayley, who says she’s never quit anything in her life, accepts.

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn – Last Man Standing MITB Qualifying Match: This one was a super physical fight. How physical? It took Owens hitting Zayn with a powerbomb through the commentary table, through a standard table, then on the ring apron to get the 10 count.

WWE Official Sonya Deville is out to announce the next competitor for the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, Zelina Vega. While its awesome to see Vega back in the WWE one person who isn’t happy is Liv Morgan who can’t even get a shot for the match. Both women come to blows and Deville authorizes the match. It’s a quick one with not much to note with Morgan getting a flash pin win.

Otis def. Angelo Dawkins in a long squash match.

Next week we will see Cesaro take on Seth Rollins and King Nakamura battle Baron Corbin, both will be Money in the Bank qualifying matches.

All night Jimmy Uso has been waiting to call Edge out. Jimmy must have thought that he was helping set up a trap for his cousin. The only problem was that when the time came and Jimmy called out Edge, Roman was nowhere to be found. Jimmy tried holding his own but in reality he got the holy hell beat out of him. Edge called back to his WrestleMania match, trapping Jimmy in a crossface and using a chair leg in the mouth of Jimmy. What a visual to end the night.

WWE NXT Results (6/29/2021): Last Stop Before Great American Bash

Tonight’s show gets right into the action with a Triple Threat Tag Team match, the winners will go on to face Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell at Great American Bash.

Io Shirai & Zoey Stark def. Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez, and Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart: The first half of this match was great stuff with all of the women getting a spot to shine. Before we go to break we get a bunch of dive spots from multiple competitors. Everyone was smart enough to realize Raquel Gonzalez is the biggest of the group so she should be targeted. In the closing moments of this match we saw the finish spot after finish spot concluding with Io Shirai hitting the Moon Over the Moonsault to pick up the win for her and Zoey. Next week Io and Zoey will challenge The Way for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships.

An announcement is made that the NXT Breakout Tournament will be returning this year. Bronson Reed was one of the competitors from the tournament’s first year and he is approached by another first year competitor in Isaiah “Swerve” Scott who wonders how Bronson was the one who came out as NXT North American Champion? This was obvious bait for Bronson to put the title on the line tonight.

We had a backstage brawl between Johnny Gargano and Karrion Kross that led to a second brawl in the ring orchestrated by Gargano using Austin Theory. The crowd was definitely behind Gargano so I think the full on face turn is happening.

Roderick Strong def. Asher Hale: This one, as you would expect, was all Strong showcasing a more focused and grittier Strong. We won’t know much about Diamond Mine, just to watch and see what they do.

Cameron Grimes def. Ari Sterling: Really good showing from Sterling even though he ends up taking the loss after a Cave In stomp. After the match, Million Dollar Champion LA Knight comes out to gloat about his dastardly attack on Ted DiBiase. Grimes challenges Knight to a Million Dollar Championship match next week at Great American Bash which Knight initially rejects. Then Knight makes his own stipulation. He’ll put the Million Dollar title on the line but if Grimes loses then Grimes has to be Knight’s personal butler.

Kyle O’Reilly comes down to the ring to talk about his upcoming match next week against Adam Cole. Kyle wants to know if Adam has any excuses that he can enlighten us with. Cole comes down to the ring until he is stopped by the Enforcer Samoa Joe. It looks like we can have us a discussion with no fisticuffs. Cole thinks O’Reilly is obsessed with him and he needs a dose of reality. To Cole, O’Reilly is nothing without him bringing up all of the accolades of the Undisputed Era. O’Reilly says when he looks back, he is ashamed to ever be associated with Cole. Joe makes sure the two don’t come to blows until Cole tried pulling a fast one. O’Reilly sees it coming and takes Cole down trapping him in a heel hook. Joe is none too quick to get O’Reilly off of Cole, if at all. Finally security comes in to “break” things up.

Tian Sha vs. Mercedes Martinez & Jake Atlas ended in referee stoppage after Xia Li knocked out Mercedes with a vicious roundhouse kick. It was nasty.

MSK had a great face to face with their challengers at GAB Tommaso Ciampa and Tim Thatcher. MSK made sure to make it known they were not intimidated by the tough, scary Thatcher and Ciampa.

Johnny Gargano and Austin Theory tried to capitalize on their good luck with Karrion Kross by jumping him again in the parking lot but this one didn’t end in his favor. Actually, Kross almost ran Johnny over with his car. Good thing Samoa Joe was there to make sure that didn’t happen.

Isaiah “Swerve” Scott def. Bronson Reed to become the NEW North American Champion: This was a highly enjoyable match. Bronson threw his weight around for the majority of the match and pretty much had this one won until the rest of Hit Row got involved. First, Ashanti Adonis knocks Reed off the top rope. Then Top Dolla tried to bulldoze Bronson on the outside but goes crashing through the barricade. Adonis gets dumped over as well just for checking on Top Dolla. While trying to get back in the ring Bronson gets hit with a Last Call kick from Swerve and then a 450 splash which secures the win for Swerve. I certainly did not see a title change coming but I am not mad at it.

Another great episode of NXT comes to a close with Hit Row celebrating on the stage. What did you think of NXT tonight? Drop a comment below!
